Trying to Find Our New Strength

We are one week away from the first maintenance dose also known as injection #5. That means it has been 4 months since our last visit to Columbus. I think it is just as much an emotional roller coaster for this dose as it was for any of the others. We have so much hope in this process and in God’s plans, but sometimes those pesky doubts like to sneak up on us. Today we are at the start of a trying week that leads up to the injection. There are many fears and doubts that could hinder this injection from happening. Or maybe that is just us taking our eyes off of God and his plan. Either way, we could use some prayers from you.

As far as the effects of the injections go, Chris did not notice a real difference when he was getting the loading doses. Yet since the loading doses stopped 4 months ago, he has noticed that he doesn’t have the energy that he was getting used to having. By the end of the day, he was not feeling so tired when he was getting the loading doses, but now he says he is wiped out. We know that his body will not have the same reaction to the drug as a child will, but knowing that this drug is affecting his body in even the slightest way gives us hope to what this drug has the potential of doing.

Thank you all for being with us during this adventure. Your prayers and support mean a lot to us. I’m not sure if it will be a while before I post again, but I will try to keep posting when I can.
