The Littles
Injection #2 This day was about the little things: a little later than we wanted to leave, a little bit of traffic in the Cincinnati area, a little bit of fog, a little bit of Columbus traffic, and a little wardrobe malfunction. All those little bits added little bits of delays that put us really far behind schedule. The day, nor the injection went as smoothly as the previous one and had Chris and I stressed out. The peace and calm that we felt God gave us the first time was not as significant this time. We knew he was with us, but I believe this time we were feeling a little bit sure of ourselves and the process. Because of this, we did not lean as strongly on God; lesson learned. While there has yet to be a significant change in Chris’s ability/strength, he felt God wanted him to put in at least a little bit of work to help regain some strength. If we are praying and asking for prayers to help Chris regain strength, we need to show God how bad we want it to happen. The Living Bible version of Proverbs 3:6 says, “In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success.” So we do physical therapy in hopes that God will direct us and show us success along the way. Since coming home, Chris has had two sessions and we’re working on the homework/exercises daily. As I said, the littles were a part of our day for injection #2 and really we should figure on having the littles around for a while: little delays, little frustrations, and little steps forward. Yet there are some big things as well: God first but the love and support from family and friends as well. These big things neutralize all of the littles and we are thankful for all of the bigs. So for all of you, we thank you for your prayers, love and support. They are a true blessing to us through this adventure.
