God's Time

Two steps forward and one step back. This adventure sure has a rhythm to it. We think we are pushing forward then get pushed back a little. Yesterday was a long (12 hours) rough day. We thought we would be announcing when the first injection would be happening, but instead we are again waiting. Due to a few issues, the doctor does not think getting the injection is wise at this time. Even though he said no for now, he said he plans on finding a safe alternative in order to make the injection possible. He wants more time to make sure they help improve Chris’s life without it being too risky. Chris and I were contemplating risking it all, but the doctor showed us that waiting would be a better option. So again, we wait. This time probably until January.
While this news is tough, we know it is God’s plan. Just before we went in to see the doctor, we read a bible verse that was Bible Gateway's verse of the day. Coincidentally, it was Jeremiah 29:11, which is the verse that we have thought of as our guide for this adventure. We thought it was a sign that everything was going to work out just perfectly. Well, we still think it to be so, we just forgot we are on God’s path and time frame. So, we are waiting again knowing that God’s time frame is so much better than ours. Also, this means the holidays will be spent focusing on God, family, and friends instead of rushing between hospital visits and holiday events (positive thoughts)! Please continue to pray with us for the people getting the injections and their families, the doctors and nurses that are working tirelessly on this, and for our strength and guidance.
