Ready, Set, Go?

First, thanks for the prayers you have been sending our way. We’re feeling them. Since the last blog update, we got an appointment for October 9th at UC. Then we got a confusing piece of paper from our insurance company. It said that the procedure was going to be covered at OSU until December, but we did not know if that was everything or just the doctors portion. Chris and I talked together and with some family and friends about what to do. We also asked OSU what they thought, but they were confused as well. After all of that, we decided that God was leading us to OSU, but we dragged our feet about cancelling the UC appointment. We didn’t want to drive the 2+ hours with traffic to get the injections. Yet we want God leading us through this journey so we submitted to His guidance and the long commutes to OSU.

Chris cancelled the appointment for UC on September 19th. Within one week of canceling UC, OSU calls us to talk about possible timeline and the procedure. Yesterday we heard from the Spine Clinic (which is where the procedure will take place) and the neurologist's office. We were told that based on what they knew at the moment, someone would be calling to set up a baseline evaluation soon and then they would know more about when the injections would start. We were given the timeline of 4-8 weeks. We were excited and praying to have the injections start by late October. Then we get a call from OSU today saying, the baseline evaluation will happen on October 6th and the first injection could start as soon as the 9th.

Wow, everything is happening so fast! We are just in awe of how God works. We are looking at the UC situation as a test. God wanted to be sure we were going to let Him lead us through this journey and once we did, He took off. I guess we had better get used to the fast lane now that we have learned to let God have control.
